College Football Rankings: Who's Number One?

The College Football Playoff committee has released its first rankings of the season, and Alabama is at the top. The Crimson Tide are followed by Georgia, Ohio State, and Michigan.

The Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Poll also have Alabama at the top, followed by Georgia and Ohio State. Michigan is ranked fourth in the AP poll and third in the Coaches Poll.

The College Football Playoff rankings are used to determine the four teams that will compete in the College Football Playoff. The rankings are updated each week, and the final rankings will be released on December 4th.

The AP and Coaches Polls are also used to determine the national champion. The winner of the AP poll is awarded the AP National Championship Trophy, and the winner of the Coaches Poll is awarded the Coaches Poll National Championship Trophy.
