Gareth Southgate has urged patience with Jadon Sancho

England manager Gareth Southgate has urged patience with Jadon Sancho as the England winger continues to find his feet at Manchester United.

Sancho has been in and out of the United team since his £73million move from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, and has yet to score or assist a goal in the Premier League.

Southgate said he believes Sancho is still adjusting to the demands of playing for a big club like United, and that he needs to be given time to settle in.

"Jadon is a young player who is still developing," Southgate said.

"He's come to a new club and a new league, and it's going to take him time to find his feet. We have to be patient with him."

Southgate also said that he is confident that Sancho will eventually come good for United and England.

"He's a very talented player with a lot of potential," Southgate said.

"I'm sure he'll be a success for both club and country in the long run.
